I am a practicing registered nurse, with a bachelor of science in nursing, and have a bachelor's in biology as well. I first became involved in childbirth communities about 12 years ago, completing my birth doula certification with DONA International (www.dona.org), and then with Childbirth International (CBI, www.childbirthinternation.org), as well as completing a certificate through Hypnobabies for interested families. I am excited to work with you to help you have an amazing birthing experience.
I have extensive experience in childcare and management, and I am excited to see the possibilities that will come through working with families in this way. In addition, I spent several years studying and teaching music, specifically flute, piano, and voice, and am passionate about early childhood music education.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and generally taking in all the outdoor adventuring the lower mainland has to offer.
